Yang Liang is an assistant professor of economics and assistant director for the Center for Health Economics and Policy Studies at San Diego State University. Liang is an applied microeconomist with research interests in public policy analysis across the fields of labor economics, health economics, and international economics. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Health Economics, JAMA: Pediatrics, The World Economy, and the China Economic Review. His scholarship has been cited in the New York Times, The Economist, and Forbes. Liang received his Ph.D. in Economics from Syracuse University in 2018.
