Internships

Economics 495 is a three-unit Internship course requiring 150 hours of work. An internship is a professional career experience with specific goals outlined from the beginning. If you already have a part- or full-time job, you may be able to arrange an internship with your current employer but you cannot get internship credit for simply doing your current job. For example, if you work as a salesperson at Banana Republic, you cannot get internship credit for that job. However, you may be able to set up an internship by talking to your supervisor and arranging to work on a specific project for your store or the corporation.
