Thiago is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at San Diego State University. He joined the faculty at SDSU after completing his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of California, Davis. He is interested in development economics, labor economics, and political economy. His work seeks to understand the relationship between the gender of institution/political leadership and the gender gap in top positions. He has also done other works in political economy, race and labor. Thiago will be teaching courses in Econometrics and Migration on the Economics Department.
